Teen Ceramics 1: Ages 14+, Start 10/6

Service Description

Teen Ceramics Series (Ages 14+), Homeschool Session 1, October 6 - 27, 2026 Ceramics - Hand-building (60-Minute Class / 4 weeks) - $80 Teens (Ages 14+) This 4-week class is designed to give students a fun and creative introduction to working with clay. Students will explore a variety of hand-building techniques while creating both functional pieces and decorative works of art using pinch, slab, and coil methods. During Weeks 1-3, students will focus on building their projects with guided instruction and plenty of room for imagination. Week 4 will be dedicated to glazing their finished pieces, selecting colors and learning how the glazing process brings their work to life. This class is a wonderful opportunity for kids to experiment, get hands-on, and discover the joy of creating something all their own. Each student will be supplied with a 5 lb. bag of clay. Additional bags of clay are available for purchase for those who would like to create more. All other supplies--including tools, aprons, glazes, and two kiln firings—are provided. Parents will be notified when fired/finished pieces are ready for pickup.
